a room with a view.

a glimpse of winter hit the wasatch yesterday.
it's 36 degrees outside and the mountains look like this.

i celebrated yesterday by drinking hot chocolate while listening to christmas music with my sister.

and i'm celebrating again today.

and i'm going to celebrate some more by getting hot chocolate from kneaders, which is the best in town.

and then it's going to warm up and be a little bit more like fall for a while, which is okay, too.

i like fall.

but i'm getting a little excited for christmas, and that very first wonderful snowfall of the year.

you know the one, where everything goes quiet and there's a sort of magical feeling in the air?

i cannot wait for that. 

or for walks in the snow.

and christmas lights.

and pies.

and more hot chocolate and cider than my body can handle.
