Roadtrips and Airports

Is it really almost Thursday?  Just a week ago I was getting ready to head my little bum up to Salt Lake to pick up my friend so we could drive all through the night to Seattle.  A little part of me wants to cry because that wonderful weekend was already so long ago, even though it might well have happened yesterday.

It was so nice to get away from Provo and head to a gorgeous place for a few days.  I was practically crying while driving through Snoqualmie Pass at 8am last Friday, I was so excited (which might have had something to do with caffeine).  It was COLD outside, and sunny, and beautiful, and green, and crisp, and it smelled so good!  Oh, my goodness.

Okay, picture time.

Being home and away from life here was nice.  I just loved walking through the driveway and getting tackled by my unsuspecting brothers, and spending time with mom, and sleeping the 35+hours that I slept, and the food. The food was perfect.  Completely.  A little R&R was exactly what the doctor ordered.

I had to fly back on Monday but my flight was delayed a few hours, so the plane didn't land till 1am in Salt Lake Tuesday morning.  But, luckily, I had company that was as perfect as perfect can be and we talked for hours while sipping on peppermint hot chocolate.

And now it's back to real life.  Real life that includes lots and lots of school, work, and dance.  No more long drives or airports for a while, so I'll survive on the memories.  Beautiful memories.  All of them.

Anyway.  That's me and my life.
