just when i think that there is nothing to do in provo...

there is. let's go in chronological order, shall we?
like i said, i chopped my hair. it was a significant and life-altering decision. well, not really. but i feel like i'm part of a really cool short-hair club now. this girl likes her hair short and intends on keeping it this way for quite a while.
lehi rodeo, y'all! way, way, wayyy better than the puyallup fair (no offense, washington). i guess it does make sense though, because we are much deeper into the country here than in seattle. these guys (and gals) were faannnntastic. keri couldn't watch during the calf roping because she felt sorry for the little guys, but i thoroughly enjoyed myself. i don't have any pictures of the motocross, but it was intense. those guys out there were doing flips off big jumps that were set out! i wouldn't have been surprised if somebody had died doing that. sheesh. oh, well. boys will be boys. altogether enjoyable night, if i do say so myself. call me a cowgirl, because i'm making a tradition out of that. yeeeehaw!
that fire's actually a massive sparkler from last night. i went out to provo lake to light some off with allis and emily (and all their friends and lovers). did you know that they have adult poppers? like, pop rocks, except for adult size. we're talking makes-you-jump-every-time-one-hits-the-ground size. i'm thinking it's time to get some of those bad boys to throw off my balcony. just kidding, i would never do that. ummm... heh... never. (okay, so i would. does that make me a bad person or just ridiculously immature?)

have you seen "i am legend"? it's intense, right? please tell me the painting of that...thing...on the wall behind the musician at muse looks like one of those monsters. also, if you're thinking about running past some huge (and very vacant) apartment buildings at night (in the dark), all alone... don't do it. chances are you'll think of this and want to die. i did it last night. you can trust me. i digress. muse. every tuesday night they have story telling. if you're in town, you should go. i was told it was the thing to do, so i went. now i'm telling you that it is, in fact, the thing to do. so you should go. also, if you happen to be in town for the 4th of july, they are opening at midnight  for a "sleepover". bands will be playing through the night till the parade starts in the next morning. that's music dedication for ya.
it was actually right after i left these girls. don't ask what we're doing, but just know that it was after midnight. that should explain everything.

if you want to know more about these girls, just go here (because allis is awesome). and here too (because brittany is equally as awesome).
i convinced ryan to go for a ride with me today (finally), so we grabbed taylor as well and headed for the lake. it was short and sweet, and i kept stopping along the way to take photos (except for the few times i didn't stop and almost crashed). because of all the snow in the mountains and all the rainfall we have had here (most recorded on history), the lake was practically eating the entire park. park benches, tables, trees, and a few other things, were completely surrounded by the blue wet stuff. it was beautttiful.

ps. i feel the need to mention that i threw out all my sugar and refined flour products. no more white flour, no more sugar, no more fat (meaning i won't be fat - i love to eat the stuff, especially when it's yogurt) and disease. well, at least that's my goal. time to take care of this girl! speaking of, time for some brown rice before i head out for "midnight in paris" with ryan and maddy.
