Rain, rain... don't go away!

Here in Utah there are two types of summer.  The summer as documented in the post below this one, and the summer as documented in this post.  We're talking opposite ends of the spectrum, people.  Can anyone guess which one is my favorite?  Hint: I grew up in Seattle.

Summer storms! Oh, how I love thee!  I really could use some more of it.  Yesterday Ashley came over and we may or may not have run around the city (read: walked to The Awful Waffle) in the pouring rain.  Yes, we are pure Washingtonians.  We crave the rain.  We love the rain.  We are the rain.  Okay, so maybe we're not exactly the rain, but you get the idea.

Great, huh?  We were soaked.  Unfortunately, I didn't whip my phone out (thus all the poor quality photos) fast enough to catch her laying down in the dark brown river of nastiness in the ditch.  Guys, Ashley is hilarious when all she's eaten is sugar.  She's one of my favorites, and for so many good reasons.  I just wish she had a blog.  But alas, nobody is perfect.  Kidding, I'm not that blog-obsessed.  Kinda.

Anyway.

Storm again today, but this time it happened while I was inside my apartment and this time I refused to go out into it because I was already cold and wrapped up in a blanket on my couch.  Yeah, I definitely missed my dance lesson because of it (I need a car, I know).  Well, anyway, I pulled out the camera (Keri's - little sister still has mine from her Australia trip) and documented it.  You can't really tell how intense it was, but the thunder and lighting made me scream once, and my heart kept skipping a beat when the thunder would boom.  (Really though, the video does it no justice - I  mostly just sound like a complete dork.) Some things will always scare me a little, like thunder and lightning and the dark and spiders and... never mind.  Just watch the video if you're bored enough to sit and watch it rain for a whole minute and a half.  Meanwhile, I'm going to finish watching the first episode of the Masterpiece Classic: Downton Abbey.

Over and out.

Ps.  If you were ever wondering what my little sister sounds like, this is it.  Apparently we are twins.

Pps. I just listened to this song, and I love it.   I want to play it on repeat all day long.  Please listen to it and love it as much as I do, even though it's already sunny again on the mountains.
