Happy November! Happy Thanksgiving!

all over facebook and twitter i've been going on and on about Christmas music, because now Halloween is over (who likes that holiday anyway?) and Christmas is only a month away. but it's November now, which is a magical month in and of itself. this is the month full of anticipation for Christmas, but it's also the month we get to sit back and reflect on all the blessings we have, from freedom to a roof over our heads to boys that make our hearts melt.

a year ago i was counting down the days till my family came into town to spend Thanksgiving in Park City. i honestly cannot remember a better Thanksgiving week, either. we spent it a couple streets up from Main Street downtown, sitting by a fire, reading books, watching Christmas movies, going for walks, ice skating outside, and just enjoying each other. it was beautiful. this year is going to be more of a challenge because it's the first year i won't spend Thanksgiving with my family. but somehow, someway, i still want to share it with them, and with the people i love. because, let's be honest, Thanksgiving is probably the most exciting week of the year, because it is only full of excitement for the upcoming month, and not sad because the holidays are behind us.

this girl is going to do her best to be thankful, for blessings big and small. "Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day," said Robert Caspar Litner (whoever that is). so it's a Month of Thanksgiving again this year. one post every day about something i'm thankful for. watch out, there might just be a post about you this month.

Three weeks / 21 days till Thanksgiving!
