More fall and more school. And more great music.
Wait, sorry... but where did the last two weeks go? I seriously cannot get a handle on how quickly we're moving through these last months of this year. I got hit by papers and midterms just last week, and all of the sudden it's happening again. This just isn't real.
Luckily I've been able to get out and go for some long walks and enjoy the changing season. But it's still way too warm (proof that I grew up in the Pacific Northwest). That's something I hate about Utah. Can't we just have a cool fall, paleaseee? I'm sick of the heat. But these days are starting to get a little cooler, so we're not touching 80 anymore. But in the morning it's sometimes in the 30s! What the what?
Anyway. So, I am totally that person that is always trying to come up with new life plans. Seriously, in the past two weeks alone I've thought about transferring schools, going home to stay with the rents for a while (because when you're a college student that's still okay - in two years that'll be me just being a bum), and eloping away to New York with a wealthy man (I'm pretty sure I'd still do this if that guy existed). I think maybe I come up with these plans just to keep myself amused for a while, or excited for something, because honestly there's not too much to really look forward to in college. No offense to those who think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but college can be boring. I mean, aside from the awesome learning awesomeness we get to do, right? Right. (Also, to the friends who constantly put up with all of my crazy/changing plans, I am so sorry.)
But here in Provo, Utah, I stay. Tuition is awesome here. I have friends here. So, it's kind of a good thing for right now. Not that I'm sure what I'll do after this year because I honestly can't imagine staying a whole year after this one again. I just can't. But for right now I'll survive.
Oh, and have you been listening to the new Mumford and Sons album? It's been on repeat over here. Also, my friend Cody Robinson is the shiz. I've been listening to his music for the past three+ years (I'm pretty sure at least one of his songs is in every playlist I've ever created). Anyway, this guy is a genius. His music is super chill, which is right up my alley. He's in NYC right now, on his way to making it big. His album My Side is up on iTunes. So go look him up. Like, right now.
But watch this music video first.
