So this is what life is like without a job or school.

1. The best chocolate cupcakes I have ever tasted. Carissa (roommate) and I made them for our friend's birthday, but ended up having twenty left over for our personal enjoyment.
2. I stay up too late, wake up too late, and eat breakfast too late.
3. Scary as it was, I decided to try this no-knead dutch oven bread, and it turned out incredibly. I made three loaves, one of which turned into French toast, while the other two were devoured slathered in butter and jam.
4. I eat a lot of salad these days so I can afford to eat lots of bread and French toast. And burgers (burgers not pictured here because I always forget to take a picture).
5. Fries made out of sweet potatoes = healthy junk food. I'll take it!
6.My first ReAl game at Rio Tinto stadium in SLC! Carissa and I went with a couple of soccer fans, one from Argentina and the other from Guatemala. It was a blast. And yes, food was involved: churros and hot chocolate (it was chilly). Also, we went dancing with those boys and learned a few things. Holy cow, those Latinos are passionate with seriously awesome hips.
7. Carissa didn't get cooking lessons growing up, so I'm teaching her the few things I know about it. Please refer to pic #1.
8. SEVEN PEAKS. Keri and I spent all summer there last year, and we got an early start this year. No sunburn that day thanks to my super waterproof sunblock, thank you very much. Us gingers have to be careful (especially me, with a very skin cancerous family).
9. Cousin Nelson got home from his mission, so we had a little family party with the cousins, which involved eating lots of food and lounging around doing nothing. It was lovely.
10. On a walk in Spanish Fork. Dandelion seeds are about five times bigger in UT than in WA.
11. Andy. Yeah, notice how I keep posting pictures of us even though we're not dating? I have to keep up my mysterious front, people! No, just kidding. I have been vague, but the truth is that we're playing the "just friends" game. It's good for right now, especially because life has been all sorts of insane over his way for a while. Time will tell. So for right now, we're friends and I'm dating other people.
12. Gorgeous sunset looking across a field pretty about a block away from Robert Redford's Ranch, and a mile from Andy's home. Utah has nice sunsets, I'll be honest. Sun is important to me these days, and so is lots of sky.

  1. Life without school or work is amazing, and plus it looks like it involves a lot of good food :)
