summer in february!
55 and sun that warms your skin? on february 10th? thank you, Jesus.
walking home from class today was absolutely heavenly. i had to take off both of my jackets, and ROLL UP MY SLEEVES. things like this just don't happen in february. i'm pretty sure that at this time last year i was slipping around on the layer of ice that had covered the city and was making like difficult for all of us poor, cold, sad students. this year has been lovely. it probably means this summer will be terrible, but i'll cross the bridge when i get to it.
just kidding! what am i thinking? because this summer i'm most likely (crossing my fingers!) going to be living in Wyoming, about an hour outside of Jackson Hole, working at a beautiful ranch. red rock, endless trails for hiking, horses for riding, long afternoons for reading and catching up on sleep, a swimming pool, and i'm just assuming there will be nights of endless stars. just think of the photos. i am in heaven just thinking about it. oh, and the work itself sounds just lovely. who wants to be a waitress (not exactly what'll be happening, but it's close) on a dude ranch for the summer? me. yeah, like i said... heaven. and the best part? i'll be alone.
oh, and then there is a possibility of studying in Vienna in the fall. i know, i said that before, but if it's available this fall then i am definitely going. mark my words. i gotta get out of this place, and that seems like the perfect place to go. well, almost any place new would be perfect, but Vienna? how much better could it actually get from there? not much, that's for darn certain.
and there you go.
OH.
one last thing: i'm going to be shooting engagement photos for my friend rachel, and i'm practically in tears because i'm so excited. if there's one thing i love as much as eating chocolate cake, it has to be capturing life on film.
over and out.
xxL
