crepes, boxes, home.
(Christmas morning, Gig Harbor, Washington.)
- Who knew that going to work at 5am would be so much fun? Crepe batter, waffle dough, talking to strangers at the window... it's a blast, guys. Seriously. Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. Okay, so I've worked a grand total of two days, but whatev. I know what I like. (If you haven't already connected the dots, I'm the prep-chef at the Awful Waffle.)
- VP. 59, 14 months, 6 roommates, 2 weddings, 1 purple load of laundry, and I'm outta here! It's been great, but ya know. Change is good.
-Tomorrow... GIG HARBOR! It's the most wonderful city in the world. Lighthouse, sailboats, endless trees, beaches, views of Mt. Rainier, Omas and Opas, Moms and Dads, Nathans and Spencers, Hannahs, Longfellows, etc. The list goes on and on. I cannot wait to go home. CANNOT WAIT.
Now for a sparkling dialogue between a cute red-headed 8-year-old and myself.
Spencer: I loveeee you.
Me: Oh, I love youuuuu!
Spencer: I miss you, Lara.
Me: I cannot wait to see you!
Spencer: But it's just tomorrow.
Me: But I just CANNOT WAIT!
Spencer: Well, WAHHHHHH!
And that's the epitome of our relationship. Gosh, I love that kid. And now for a picture of him because he's just that cute and because I love him just that much.
xxL
