2011, here I come.

A new year sounds good to me.  What is going to happen in the Life of Lara in 2011?  I have a few ideas...
  • I want to make the back-up tour team.  I don't know when or how exactly, but that's a high priority.
  • Germany, please.  I'm thinking a month+ stay during the spring/summer months with my aunt and uncle.
  • A long visit at home.  You see, being 900 miles away from my siblings is hardly conducive to wonderful relationships.
  • Is it too much to ask to win novice standard?  That would be great.
  • Latin partner, please and thank you.  And can you please be as fun to dance with as Ben or Adam?  It's just so annoying when there is no chemistry.  Just saying...
  • Get in shape, Lara.  This is just ridiculous.  It's time, honey.  Sheesh.
  • I'm guessing I'm going to move at some point, unless I can/want to stay where I am.  Who knows.  But please, no ghetto apartments for me.  Yuch.
  • Believe it or not, I will figure out what to major in.  That should probably be toward the top of the list, but this isn't really in any particular order if I think about it.
  • Turn 20.  I will be happy to be done with my teenage years.  I don't feel like a teenager anyway.  More like a single 30 year old with no direction.
  • Oh, heavens, I want to do smooth.  That requires finding a partner who is either great or has potential to be great (not that I'm great, but it would be great to be with someone great).  I want to be a finalist in pre-champ, ya know.
  • Learn how to ice skate.  My roommate, Keri, is an avid ice skater, and she just happens to teach the class I'm taking from her next semester.  Did I mention my other roommates are taking it, too?
  • Learn how to tap.  I have never done it, but I'm taking that half credit class next semester, too.  Did I mention I'm taking that with Keri?  Yeah.
  • Rachel Lake must happen next summer.  It just has to.  I haven't been there in years, and going back would... well, I need to go.
  • Go to DisneyLand.  No explanation needed.
The list could go on all day, but I'll leave it for now.  How much can a person do in a year, anyway?  Germany really is going to happen.  A trip out of the country would be incredible.  There's nothing keeping me here anyway, so I might as well go while I still can.

It's not 2011 yet, so I must live up the rest of 2010.  I have 1 week till Thanksgiving, 3.5 till my birthday/finals, 4 till home, 5 till Christmas, 5.2 till The Nutcracker, 5.5 till my retreat at the cabin with my girlfriends, and 7 till the new year and Spencer gets baptized.  I've got a lot to do!  Time to focus on the present (aka, write my paper).  Ciao!
