a belated thank you.

Thank you for working so hard for our family. Thank you for taking us on trips to Disney Land, Washington DC, New York, and all the other places we went. Thank you for being a little bit weird and a lot bit crazy, - it kinda rubbed off on me. Thank you for teaching me how to drive on your lap. Thank you for teaching me how to fish, and for cleaning my fish, too. Thank you for taking us backpacking up to Rachel lake all those times, - it's my favorite place in the whole world. Thank you for taking me on Daddy-Daughter dates. Thank you for telling me that, like Joseph Smith and the Savior, all the trials you were going through were for your good. Thank you for chasing me around the house trying to kiss me, even if you had nasty smoked oyster breath. Thank you for teaching me how to kayak, even though I haven't gone since that last time with you. Thank you for crying when I gave you that stick-figure drawing of our family on your last Father's day even though you had beautiful oil paintings from Steph, - I'm just happy you loved it. Thank you for waiting up for me and Steph after our white water rafting trip, even though you were really tired and walking was hard. Thank you for pulling me down on the couch next to you and holding me until I stopped trying to get away (I wanted to be there the whole time). Thank you for using me as your pillow during Star Trek (you should see the movie!). Thank you for taking me to Colorado with you, I thought it was gorgeous there. Thank you for taking me to see the Mariners and the Sonics. Thank you for laughing, and for smiling even when you hurt. Thank you for kissing me on the cheek and giving me big hugs. Thanks for tucking me in and telling me everything would be okay. Thank you for loving me.

You were the greatest dad I could ever dream of. I miss you like crazy, and I love you even more.

Thank you for everything, Dad.
