{ my rainy morning }

6:30am. alarm goes off.  it's raining outside.
7:04am. my eyes shoot open. i realize our kitchen is a mess and our guests need breakfast. i throw on a robe and head to the kitchen. it's foggy and dark and cool outside.
8:04am. i'm back in bed. the rain is pouring outside. i fall asleep listening to it.
10:03am. i wake up. drat. later than i meant to sleep. breakfast of eggs and toast while catching a few minutes of my new favorite show (parenthood).
10:45am. i take a long hot shower. clean and pampered.
11:56am. in the car heading to work. my hair is wet. from the shower, not the rain. my feet are a little wet, even though i wore close-toed shoes. it's raining like crazy, and it still looks like 8am. it will be hot summer again by the weekend, but this cold rain today is just what the doctor ordered.
